Precision Metal Lathe - CML 500

The ideal miniature machine for model makers, hobbyists, jewellers, educational institutions and many other professions. The lathes come complete with bed, headstock, tailstock, saddle, tool post, lead screw and motor. Also included: 3-Jaw scroll chuck (105), Face plate (115), 1/8 tailstock chuck (300), centre drill (310), tool bit (400) dead centre (320), belt (500), key, warranty card and the Clisby lathe manual. All you have to supply is a 12-volt power source. You may use a 12-volt car battery, 12-volt battery charger or a 12-volt DC variable speed controller/ transformer to vary the speed of the motor.

This unique lathe is designed and manufactured by Clisby Miniature Machines in Adelaide, South Australia. A 12-volt DC motor powers the lathe so that it is inherently safe for young and old to operate. We use aircraft quality, (6061 temper 6) aluminium to manufacture a lightweight machine and ensure long life from all working surfaces. The lathe comes complete with a 3-jaw scroll chuck, 1/8 tailstock chuck, centre drill, dead centre, tool bit, a hardened tailstock centre and a key. Woodturning may be applied on the metal lathes by purchasing a woodturning attachment (610) which slides onto the cross slide.
